Steven E. Stracener received his BSEE from the University of Arkansas in 2001, after receiving an Associate Degree in Electronic Technology from Arkansas College of Technology in 1989.  He received his Certificate as a Maintenance and Reliability Professional and his Six Sigma Green Belt in 2005.  He started with Eastman Chemical Company in the Batesville, Arkansas location in 1990, and has remained with that company until the present.  He was in the Kingsport, TN office from 2002-2012, in various positions, the last of which was Capital Project Manager, Worldwide Engineering & Construction, where he managed capital projects ranging in cost from $500K to $15M.  Later positions with Eastman took him to Martinsville, VA, as an Operations Services Manager, back to Kingsport, TN, as Plant Engineering Group Leader, and then to Kuantan, Malaysia in 2018, as Global Engineering Support/Engineering Manager.  In late 2019, he returned to Kingsport, TN, where he is currently working as Project Engineering and Electrical Disciplines Lead, Global Engineering Technology Service Center.  Mr. Stracener’s outside interests include audio engineering, woodworking, and travel.  Steve currently lives in Kingsport, TN, with his high school sweetheart and wife of 40 years Sheree.  They have two adult children, Stephanie Stracener (Manchester, England) and Spencer Stracener (Kingsport, TN).
