Ricardo Morales Kercadó received his MSEE from the University of Arkansas in May 2005.  He had previously received a Bachelor’s of Science in Electronic Technology from the University of Puerto Rico.  Following graduation from the U of A, he continued working for the Puerto Rico Electrical Power Authority until April 2009.  He then joined Duke Energy f/k/a Progress Energy Florida.  In 2015, he joined Qualus f/k/a Powergrid Engineering, and in August 2022, he joined Emerge Engineering and Wiring, where he is a System Protection & Control Supervisor in the Relay Construction/Maintenance Department.  He is a shareholder of the company, which specializes in carrier line protection, and provides services to Georgia Transmission and the municipalities power companies in Georgia.  He is licensed with the Federal Communications, and is a member of Tau Beta Pi and HKN.  Mr. Morales currently lives in Cumming, Georgia, with his wife, Zahira Diaz. His leisure activities include cycling, traveling, engaging in community service and spending time outdoors.
