Michael Thompson received his BSEE from the University of Arkansas in 1993.   Following graduation, he joined Eastman Kodak’s Batesville, Arkansas facility (Arkansas Eastman) as a staff engineer.  For the first seven years of his career, he served in various roles in the company.  In 2000, he was named Director of Information Technology managing both the Operational and Information Technology groups.  In October 2006, Eastman divested its Batesville operations to FutureFuel Corp., who renamed the business to FutureFuel Chemical Company.  Mr. Thompson was appointed to the Site Executive Team and charged with managing the transition of all Eastman corporate IT services to FutureFuel, which included negotiating and managing IT transition services from Eastman, establishing all necessary IT policies and procedures, negotiating all IT service and software agreements, as well as leading the effort to select and implement the newly formed public company’s enterprise resource planning system (SAP).  He continues to serve FutureFuel Chemical as its IT Director and as an active member of its Site Executive Team.  Mr. Thompson is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Arkansas.  He currently lives in Batesville with his wife, Kim.  Together, they have 7 children (Cesiley, Sara, Hannah, Justin, Trey, Seth and Peyton).  Following a similar course as his dad, Trey (Michael Thompson III) is currently a senior electrical and computer science engineering student at the University of Arkansas.  In his spare time, Mr. Thompson enjoys spending time with his family and weight lifting.
