Ashutosh Mauskar received his MSEE from the University of Arkansas in May 1992, after receiving his Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Bombay.  He is also a graduate of the Executive Leadership Program from UC Berkeley.  After graduation from the U of A, he joined Synopsys as a Staff CAE/Product Marketing Manager.  His career included positions with Tera Systems, Cadence, Azura, Magma, SmartPay.  He played a pivotal role in starting and growing new technology companies, such as SmartPlay which was acquired by Aricent, and then positioned Aricent for continued growth in Semiconductor design. He is currently Vice President of Product Management/Business Development for Cadence Design Systems, where he is responsible for >$1.2B of Cadence’s Custom IC & PCB design, IC Packaging and Multiphysics System Analysis product portfolio. From smartphones and consumer devices to cloud datacenters and the latest automotive electronics, there’s a very good chance that the latest products you use are made possible by Cadence. He holds 5 patents and has had 13 papers or articles published in technical and commercial publications.  Mr. Mauskar currently lives in San Jose, CA, with his wife Leena.  His leisure activities and interests include listening to music, traveling around the world and gardening.
